Background:
The European plastic caps & closures industry is about the undergo a major step change in light of the new Single Use Plastics directive, which includes the handling of caps in a circular economy.
While the tethered caps standard has not yet been formalised, the industry is already actively reviewing and creating solutions that can offer regulatory compliance – from adjustment of tamper evidence band scoring through to brand-new bottle neck + cap designs concepts.
