News with a difference
ORIENTATE brings you all the latest news from the biaxially oriented film industry from around the world including mergers and acquisitions, new investments and capacity expansions and de-commissioning and line relocations. We don’t just look for the press releases either, but seek out the stories and news that does not always make it to the mainline packaging or plastics new sources.
We also keep our subscribers up to date on new developments in resins, additives, slitter technology, coating innovations and enhancements in film line related equipment in addition to key developments in the converting industry.
Film and resin pricing
While we would like to provide the industry with specific film pricing by region, by market, by gauge, that would be difficult. In each region there are a range of prices for any product depending upon the volume purchased, a manufacturers' capacity and the converter/end user agreement in place. What ORIENTATE does provide are indicators for pricing trends by region (Europe, North America, China) for PP homopolymer, using an average price over a rolling three-month period based on benchmark films appropriate to that region.
