Medical Fluid Bags 2018 will examine the latest advances in
the design and production of polymer bags and pouches for fluid containment in
a diverse range of medical applications. Organised by AMI, it will be the first
European conference focused on this subject and will follow on from AMI’s debut
Medical Fluid Bags event in the USA.
The conference will cover the latest developments in this
dynamic market including plastics and additives options, film calendaring and extrusion
technologies, plus bag production techniques. Expert speakers will look at
design trends and new market opportunities. They will also address critical
issues such as product testing and compliance issues.
The scope of the conference will cover the broad range of
vitally important medical applications where fluid bags and pouches play a
critical role. These include blood bags, intravenous bags, collection bags,
irrigation bags, drain bags, and mixing containers.
In addition to two days of high-level presentations, the
conference will feature an exhibition area and will provide excellent
networking opportunities with key players from throughout the medical bags
supply chain. These will include the lunch and coffee breaks, plus an evening

We are now inviting proposals for presentations at the
Medical Fluid Bags 2018. The scope of the
conference will include all polymer bags and pouches for fluid containment in
medical applications. Examples include blood bags, intravenous bags,
collection bags, irrigation bags, drain bags, mixing containers etc.

Submissions should include the proposed
presentation title, a short summary of its contents, and the name and job title
of the speaker. Preference will be given to brand new papers that include practical information, application case studies, innovative technologies, new scientific data, or fresh market analysis. We avoid commercial sales talks. Presentations should last 20-25 minutes.

What does the registration fee include?
The registration fee includes attendance at all conference sessions, the Networking Cocktail Reception, lunch and refreshment breaks on both days, and a set of conference proceedings.
Do I need to book my accommodation directly?
Delegates are responsible for arranging their own hotel accommodation whilst attending the conference. However, AMI have reserved a limited number of rooms for delegates at the Maritim Hotel, at the rate of €160.50 for a single and of €199.00 for a double room including breakfast, WIFI and taxes.

Do I get a refund if I cancel my participation?
We will give you a full refund, less a cancellation charge of €200 if we receive your cancellation prior to 18th May 2018. Thereafter we regret that no refunds can be made. Please note refunds cannot be made on table top bookings or sponsorship places. Delegates may be substituted at any time.
Can my colleague replace me if I cannot attend the conference?
Yes, delegates may be substituted at any time, with no charge.
Can I get a group discount?
If your company is planning to send 2 delegates or more, you are entitled to a group discount. Please contact the Conference Organiser at Kaja-Marie.firstname.lastname@example.org
If I cannot attend, can I obtain the presentations given at the event?
Yes, the conference proceedings are available for sale after each event for EUR 385 + postage. Simply place your order via fax (+44 117 311 1534) or email Kaja-Marie Beiswanger at Kaja-Marie.email@example.com. We will send a pro forma invoice before dispatching the papers.
What if cannot attend an AMI event because of bad weather, industrial action, sickness or bereavement?
Unfortunately AMI cannot take responsibility for such problems. We recommend that you ensure that your travel plans leave you enough spare time to cope with weather delays or industrial action and that your travel insurance policy will recompense you for any financial loss that you suffer as a result of being unable to travel for other reasons. Remember that if you cannot attend an event then you can always send a colleague in your place at no charge.
Do I need a visa to enter a country where AMI is holding an event?
It is entirely possible that you may need a valid visa to enter a country where AMI is holding an event. This is especially the case for individuals attending our events and holding non-European passports. We recommend that at the time of booking you check the visa requirements with the embassy of the host country in your home location. We are unable to give refunds to delegates who cannot attend conferences because they fail the visa requirements of the country concerned.
Does the conference programme ever change?
AMI always does its utmost to avoid changes in advertised conference programs. However it is a fact of life that from time to time amendments have to be made as a result of changes to speakers’ circumstances or corporate change. Remember that you can always check with our conference staff on the latest status of any conference program.
Can I give a paper at an AMI Conference?
Naturally AMI welcomes offers of papers for presentation at our conferences provided such papers meet our quality and relevance requirements. Within each conference heading you will find a section on ‘Calls for Papers’, which tells you what to do if you want to offer to present a paper at a specific conference.
