There are many sources of technology driving change. Technical requirements are becoming clearer, more sophisticated and sometimes more challenging.
Developments in technology are yielding better products and better value-propositions. Demand is growing rapidly in both established and new applications but with different drivers, different propositions and different channels-to-market. Retaining or even gaining market share is a major challenge for industry participants. The industry is undergoing structural change as companies seek to maximise their opportunities and adjust to new market entrants.
