Mr. Andreas Thürmer,
studied Physical Chemistry in Frankfurt/Main and Polymer Chemistry in Mainz. In
1991 he joined the Additives Business Unit of Sandoz, later Clariant in
Huningue (France), where he was first Technical Application Manager in R&D.
In 1996 he became Regional Technical Service Manager in the Marketing
Department for Asia and Europe.
In October 1999,

in Basel: First Head of the Marketing Support Group “Moldings”, later Head of

Dr. Hartmut Siebert holds a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the Institute for Macromolecular Chemistry, Freiburg, Germany and a Master of Science in Innovation Management from LIMAK Austrian Business School, Linz. Hartmut Siebert joined Clariant in 1st April 2012 as Business Development Manager Polyolefin Additives. Since April 2017 Hartmut Siebert is technically and globally responsible for the application segment packaging in the Business Line Performance Additives at Clariant. Hartmut Siebert had various technical and managerial functions in his career, being more than twelve years in the Polyolefin and eight years in the additives industry. He is a Board Director of Polymer Modifiers and Additives Division (PMAD) of Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE).

Rudolf Pfaendner studied chemistry at the University of Bayreuth in Germany and
received his PhD in 1985 with a thesis on Electrically Conductive Polymers. During
25 years he held different positions in R&D at the specialty chemicals
company “Ciba” inter alia as Global Head of Research for the business segment
“Plastic Additives” and as Senior Research Fellow. He
has over thirty years of experience in polymer synthesis, plastics and coatings
additives, stabilizers, recycling, reactive extrusion, nanocomposites, flame
retardants and innovation management including numerous patents and publications.
Dr. Keith Keller, Research and Development Manager
Dr. Keith Keller is the
research and development leader for the Plastics Additives business of Milliken
Chemical, leading a group of scientists and engineers. Some key areas of research for Dr Keller’s
team are polymer nucleation and clarification, reactive extrusion, polymer
morphology modification, reaction kinetics, and chemical process
Apart from work, Dr. Keller
enjoys camping and hiking with his family and is an avid reader of history.
Mr. Svein H. Jamtvedt, Advisor
Mr. Svein H. Jamtvedt has 40 years
of experience in the international plastics industry with polymer additives as
his expertise field. His functional experience includes: leader of Additive
Research, member of strategic additives sourcing team, member of REACH
corporate team and project management. Svein is MSc (cand. real) in Polymer chemistry from
University of Oslo in 1979, he is member of the following professional
associations: Norwegian Chemical Society – Macromolecular- and colloid chemistry
group, Norsk Industri – REACH and chemical team. Society of Plastics Engineers.
He is also the inventor/author of more than 40 patents, papers and

Hayder Zahalka is SI Group Research Fellow and Global Technology Leader for
Antioxidants, Polymer Modifiers (reactive extrusion), and novel formulated
solutions for Polyolefins and Elastomers. Dr. Zahalka was a Professor of Chemistry
(adjunct) and is the inventor/author of 130 patents, papers and presentations.
His areas of expertise include polymer additives, reactive extrusion,
Polyol/Polyurethane, Organometallic Chemistry, Catalysis (Ziegler-Natta and
metallocene) and Polymerization (Polyolefins and Elastomers). Board

Dr. Andrea Landuzzi, Technology Solutions - Polymer Additives, Global Marketing Director
Dr. Andrea Landuzzi is the Global Marketing Director of Polymer Additives, Solvay’s Technology Solutions Global Business Unit. He has published more than 60 peer-reviewed scientific publications, conference presentations, papers and patents and he is an Industry Panelist and a referee for several Plastics journals. Since 1996 Andrea has been covering several technical and marketing roles in the Plastic Industry in Italy, Singapore, China and Switzerland. Andrea earned a Master Degree (Laurea) in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Bologna, Italy.
