The first edition of AMI’s Chemical Recycling conference
This conference aimed to bring
together key players and industry experts from across the supply chain to
explore the different technologies and developments pushing chemical recycling
to the forefront of the circular economy.
This virtual conference was an
essential place for anyone looking to learn more and develop in the rapidly
changing industry. From brand owners investing in chemical recycling to plastic
producers - from start-ups working on new technology to chemical companies -
from packaging converters through to those already involved in plastics
recycling. If you are looking to learn more about the complementary vs
competing nature of chemical recycling – this event could have been for you!
Helping to overcome the limitations of traditional plastics recycling, chemical recycling has in recent years become a major focus of research, development and discussion for the plastics industry. Insights from expert speakers will address the viewpoints of recycling groups on how chemical recycling will find its place in the market and its viability for commercialisation. Key areas of focus will also include the range of technologies available and their impact on the wider environment, as well as how chemical recycling is expected to aid in meeting national and international plastics recycling targets.

To give you more industry insight ahead of the Chemical Recycling conference, we will be conducting a series of joint interviews with our expert speakers. In these interviews, speakers will explain the challenges they face and how they could be resolved, how the plastics recycling industry will develop and grow and a preview into what they will be speaking about at the conference in November.
We also asked- if you had to be one type of plastic, what would you be and why?
Take a look at what our speakers had to say.
