For more than 10 years, AMI's Wind
Turbine Blade Manufacture conference and exhibition have brought together
people from throughout the global supply chain, and this year was no
different. In light of the current pandemic, this year's event ran online. This global virtual summit was held over four
days, from 2pm CET, and covered the latest
technical developments and market trends in the wind turbine blade sector.
Topics included recent research and new
solutions in bonding, core kitting and processing, surface protection, blade
testing or lightning protection. The wind turbine blades industry is not
an exception to the global growing awareness around sustainability, which has
driven OEMs to set ambitious sustainability targets. Carbon footprint and blade
recycling was covered by key players in the industry.
The virtual conference sessions were
complemented by access to a virtual booth area where you had the opportunity
to explore and interact with suppliers - all from the safety of your own home
