The Role:

  • Development, production and delivery of a minimum of four live conferences and / or virtual events per year
  • Setting, communicating and achieving consistent milestones and priorities in relation to each event
  • Planning, production and delivery of effective marketing campaigns and event collateral, in conjunction with Marketing Team
  • Drive delegate, exhibition and sponsorship sales to ensure expected revenue targets are met
  • Maintain accurate, relevant records on the CRM system in line with business best practice; including logging and tracking external customer communications and updating contact record details
  • Proactively develop and maintain strong working relationships with previous customers to ensure retention
  • Delivering events on time, within budget, whilst meeting (or exceeding) expectations
  • Sourcing and researching new prospective customers, building and maintaining relevant contact lists
  • Understanding and monitoring of relevant competitive conferences and events
  • Managing supplier relationships by acting as main contact for suppliers of our live events
  • Onsite event management; including customer support, problem solving and logistical operations
  • Create reports using post event surveys to ensure continuous improvement to future events
  • Take an active role in the development and growth of the conference business, proposing ideas to improve and develop the offer
  • Produce conference agendas, liaising with the relevant in-house consultants where necessary
  • Regular international travel to attend and operationally deliver conferences

  The person:

  • Proven experience of planning and organising successful conferences and events
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to manage own workload and schedules
  • Strong sales and marketing abilities
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels
  • IT literate - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), internet and social media
  • Flexible approach and willingness to travel on a regular basis
